Loan Bank Fee Structure*

Items may be checked out for one month and renewed for one additional month, after which time they must be returned. People needing items longer should call Assistive Technology for Kansans, 1-800-526-3648

$5 per month rental fee

Stool risers, Crutches, Canes, Quad canes, Reachers/grabbers, Transfer boards, Hand held shower, Foam wedges

$10 per month rental fee

Walkers, Rollators, Commodes, Bath chairs, Shower chairs

$20 per month rental fee

Manual wheelchairs, Transfer chairs, Hoyer lifts

$35 per month rental fee - $75 deposit required

Power wheelchairs, Power scooters

*Under some circumstances, all or part of the fees may be waived.

Adult Incontinent Supplies

Adult diapers and underliners are available at no cost. We suggest a donation of at least $5 per pack to help maintain our supplies.

Independence, Inc. serves Douglas, Franklin and Jefferson Counties in Kansas.

Borrowers are responsible for picking up and returning borrowed items. Items will be held for pickup no more than 1 week.

As we are dependent upon donations of equipment to maintain our loan bank, not all items are in stock at all times.
