    Independence is a web site on employment and disability policy.     JAN is not a job placement service, but an international toll-free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations and the employability of people with disabilities. JAN also provides information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). JAN has Points of Interest Pages. These pages contain a lot of links to help you find the information you need.     The goal of JOB Access is to enable people with disabilities to enhance their professional lives by providing a dedicated system for finding employment. Due to real or perceived discrimination, these job seekers feel they have encountered a closed door policy.
