Access Board or Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board
The mission of the Access Board is to develop minimum guidelines and requirements for standards issued under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), develops accessibility guidelines for telecommunications equipment and customer premises equipment under the Telecommunications Act, provides technical assistance on those guidelines, and enforces the Architectural Barriers Act.
Also, new guidance material is now available on access standards for Federal
electronic and information technology the Access Board issued under Section 508
of the Rehabilitation Act.

Since 1991, your
ten regional Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTACs)
have been providing information, materials, technical assistance and training on
the ADA. In 2001, their responsibilities expanded to include providing those
