When parking, do you use the access aisles next to the accessible parking spaces?

  • Are you looking for a chance to inform future accessible parking policies?
  • Would you like to help to reduce access aisle parking violations?

Then we are looking for you!

The Research and Training Center on Independent Living at the University of Kansas is currently recruiting participants for a research study. If you are eligible, we will ask you to complete a demographic questionnaire and participate in a focus group.

The Focus Group will be held on October 1st from 5:30pm-7:30pm in Lawrence, Kansas, at Independence, Inc.
Refreshments will be provided.

What will you get out of participating?

  • By participating in the focus group, you have the opportunity to influence future parking policies. 
  • You will get the satisfaction of knowing that the results of this study will help to increase community participation for people with disabilities. 

To be eligible you must:

  • Have a disability.
  • Currently own a disability parking placard or license plate.
  • Use the access aisles next to the accessible parking spaces.
  • Be available on October 1st from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
